Dear Joshua Church.
We just had our last staff meeting before the “stay at home” order goes into effect. We know that it is a very strange and unsettling time, but we will get through this. Jesus is in charge and will help us!
Because the “stay at home” order is expected today, our small groups will no longer be able to meet together at all. That means you will have to keep in touch with each other through electronics. We don’t tend to be in the habit of talking on the phone (and prefer more texting or messaging) but, during this time, phone calls to one another to encourage and pray for each other would be helpful. Keep praying, stay close to Jesus, keep in touch with one another, be reading your Bible, and we will do fine. We will still be able to record Sunday teachings, according to the details of the restrictions. Thank you for your patience as we worked through doing it this past Sunday. Because of miscommunication on my part, the teaching was only up on Sunday, but is back up now.
We will keep each week on the website in the “Member Login,” so you can listen later if you want. It should be up and ready to go for you each Sunday by 11 am, for those who attend Joshua Church. Talk to your small group leader or email the office at firstname.lastname@example.org for access if you attend Joshua Church but missed the email.
We love you and so look forward to the time when we can all meet together again. I’ve been reading the Psalms a lot in the past week—you might read Psalm 42: “Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God”.
