Our Staff

Steve started Blue Sky Church in Bellevue, WA with a team of people during the summer of 2004. He was previously the lead pastor of Vine Church in Carbondale, Illinois (a university student based church planted in 1995). Steve is now the planting pastor of Joshua Church. His main responsibilities at Joshua Church include teaching, leader development, and overseeing other pastors and staff. Steve also oversees our network of churches. You might call him a busy guy. Steve and his wife, Shu-hui, have four great kids.

John-Anthony is a staff pastor at Joshua Church. His responsibilities include helping with preaching and teaching, overseeing all of the daily operations at Joshua Church and membership process. Additionally, he leads the Wednesday night Discipleship Community. In his free time, he and his wife Caris love smoking delicious meat and sharing it with friends.

Travis is a staff pastor at Joshua Church. He leads the Tuesday Night Discipleship Community and a small group. He oversees our university student outreach, all of our Sunday hospitality teams and coordinates all the special event. In addition, Travis is the assistant to our network of churches. In his free time, Travis enjoys exploring new restaurants with his wife Sabina or playing golf with friends.

Sam is a staff pastor at Joshua Church. He leads the Thursday Night Discipleship Community and a small group. He oversees our youth program, coordinates our retreats, and helps with preaching and teaching. Sam and his wife Keya love hosting and having friends over to their house to enjoy home-cooked meals together.

Originally from Sandusky, Ohio, Chris relocated to Seattle in May of 2004 to help start Blue Sky Church, and is now proud to call himself a Texan. In addition to leading worship and training new leaders, Chris oversees our network worship, leads a Small Group, and does all of our graphic design. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Kendall, and his four kids, Samuel, Simeon, Gabriel and Gracelyn.

Joshua is our Kids' Director, and also helps lead us in worship. Josh trains and develops all our teachers and helpers, overseers the creating and implementing of our curriculum and organizing all of our classrooms. He works hard to make sure our kids have a great experience on Sunday mornings! Joshua and Taylor have one little baby boy named Judah.

Sarah is our bookkeeper/accountant. Her responsibilities include organizing the church finances, budgets, and bank accounts. Sarah and her husband Joshua have 5 amazing kids.
